Country Schools Stalwart Appointed to NSW Team

Long time servant of Country Schools Rugby Union of NSW, John Guy, has been appointed Manager to the NSW Schools 1st XV Rugby Union side for 2011. The side will compete at the Australian Schools Rugby Union Championships in Brisbane in July. Guy is currently the Manager of the Country Schools 1st XV and is the Coaching Director for the Country Schools Rugby Union. He has held various positions with Country Schools representative sides dating back to 1995 and has been Manager of NSW Schools U’16 and then NSW II sides for the last 6 years. He was recently appointed as an elected committee member to the NSW Schools Rugby Union. Guy, of Hunter Valley Grammar School, has made a significant contribution to schoolboy rugby in Regional NSW over many years and is a worthy appointment to this prestigious post.

Country Schools to play Somoa

Country Schools have been invited by ARFSU to host a match between the NSW Country Schools 2010 1st XV and Samoan Schools.

This match will take place at 2pm at Hunter Valley Grammer School on
28th August 2010.
