Cockatoos hold out QLD Heading Detail
Country's flagship team the 'Cockatoos' had a real fight on their hands with Queensland Country in their last game of the representative on the Gold Coast to hold out their country cousins for a close 19-17 win.
The Cockatoos went into half time with a 4 point deficit with the 'Blue Heelers' holding onto a 17-13 scoreline. The clash against QLD Country is seen as the pinnacle of the Cockatoos representative season clash. The 2nd half was a real arm wrestle with only 6 points added to the scoreboard in favour of NSW Country in the form of two penalty conversations to David 'Snowy' Kennedy. Time after time the Cockatoos have relied on winger and golden boot 'Snowy' to put NSW Country on the winners list. The win takes the Cockatoos 2010 representative season tally to five wins from five celebrating the season as one of the Cockies best on record since the demise of the Australian Rugby Shield.
