Sydney Too Strong For Country Heading Detail

Second Half Blitz See Sydney Home

Sydney has overcome a gallant NSW Country outfit to win 42-17 in their long-standing grudge match at Coogee Oval.

The boys from the bush carried a three-point lead into the break, however Sydney ran in four unanswered converted tries to streak away with the game in the second forty.
The Shute Shield players in the Country line-up proved invaluable, however Illawarra flyer Chris Jack provided one of the highlights of the game, bumping out of a host of tackles to score his first half try.
Gordon flyhalf Dave Harvey kicked six conversions from as many attempts and added two tries for a personal haul of 22 points.
